A message from veteran- owned Mile Marker Performance's founder:
With the deepest admiration, we should strive to live by the liberties and principles for which our bravest servicemembers fell.
This Memorial Day, many of us will be setting the early alarm and beginning or continuing our race training. We may be lowering our goggles as our toes sink into the chill of the water at our recently opened outdoor pool. We may be clipping our cycling shoes into our bikes as we pedal into the crisp morning air. We may be lacing up our running shoes to set forth on a long slow distance.
Some of us may forego our exercise routine altogether, or spend the day enjoying the multitude of holiday sales, or relax with our friends and family at a delicious barbecue...
We may be doing any number of things that our fallen servicemembers can no longer do.
On this solemn holiday, please take a moment to reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Enjoy your day. Smile, laugh, play, and train. But remember always that we do what we do because we are free to do so, and if it weren't for those brave souls, we may not have had the opportunity to.
Today we are mourning those who died to remind ourselves of worthy ideals, virtues, and priorities. May their sacrifice be a constant reminder of things that matter.
